Ashdown House School, part of The Cothill Trust, announces that it has appointed Hilary Phillips as Head of the school.

Mrs Phillips is currently Head of Monmouth School Girls’ Prep, a leading independent day and boarding preparatory school in Wales. Mrs Phillips takes over the role from interim Head, Mike Davies and will officially take up the role in September 2019.

Announcing the appointment, Chief Executive of The Cothill Trust, Tom Beardmore Gray said: “The Cothill Trust is delighted to welcome Mrs Phillips to Ashdown House at such an important and exciting time. Hilary brings a wealth of experience and expertise from her previous roles which mean she is very well placed to build on the excellent work of Mike Davies and the school’s senior leadership team.”

Commenting on her new role, Hilary Phillips said: “From the time I have spent already at Ashdown House School and from speaking to staff here, it is clear that this is a very happy place, full of energy, warmth and a love of learning. I look forward to building on the great work of the senior team at Ashdown in delivering the aims and ethos of this wonderful school.”

Ashdown House School is a leading co-educational, day and boarding prep school situated in 40 acres of grounds on the edge of the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex.
